Research on when the credits should appear

Most films that i have seen and studied appear to me to have had their titles appear on a black background/screen with some non diegetic sound that accompanies it to set the scenes. It is also common for some films to actually show specific events and scenes before showing their credits/titles. Films that seem to have followed this kind of order/design are Terminator (2), Kill Bill Volume (1) and the Departed, which all show a clip implying what the actual context of the movie is going to be about. By keeping this in mind i fought it would be best to show the titles/credits in Reap As You Sow during the opening.
